Visiting Artist

Last week we had a wonderful clay artist visiting our classroom.  Ken Shipley is a
clay professor at Austin Peay State University and is a very well known
ceramic artist all over the world!  Check out his gallery.  We learned a lot about clay and
really enjoyed the clay demonstrations.  Thank you Ken!

Welcome!

Welcome 5080!

A class blog is a simple, quick, and fun way to communicate with students and parents. According to edteachmag.com, blogging teachers "welcome parents into their classroom by facilitating active at-home participation in the child's education experiences at school." Teachers often write about activities, homework assignments, study guides projects, and test reminders. Also teachers can post student work, videos, and podcasts. Teachers should NOT use their blogs to conduct or promote business activities and advertisements. Also teachers should not divulge any personal information about students.

Warlick, D. (n.d.). Blog rules: As blogging becomes more pervasive, schools have begun                 establishing ground rules for teachers who blog.  Retrieved from         http://www.edteachmag.com
